Terms of Service
These terms cover ohhailna.com and the automated alert bot that publishes short radar videos of National Weather Service warnings to our social accounts. By using the site or watching and sharing the bot's videos, you agree to them.
What the service is
The bot reads public alerts from the National Weather Service and public radar imagery from NOAA and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, renders them into a short video, and posts it automatically. Alert text, expiration times, counties, and locations are reproduced from the official NWS product. Base map tiles are provided by Esri.
This is not a warning service. If a tornado warning is in effect for your area, take shelter immediately, whether or not a video has been posted.
Not a substitute for official warnings
Videos and site content are an informational convenience and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong because of upstream outages, rendering failures, or social platform delivery lag. Always rely on official sources: NOAA Weather Radio, Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone, your local National Weather Service office at weather.gov, and your local emergency management agency.
No warranty
Everything here is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, reliance on, or inability to access this site or the bot's videos.
Use of the content
NWS alert text and NOAA radar data are in the public domain. The composed videos, the site, and the OH HAIL NAH!! Weather name and logo are ours. You are welcome to share the videos using each platform's normal sharing features; please leave the attribution intact. Do not re-upload them as your own, and do not present modified versions as official warning information.
Platform accounts
The bot posts to accounts we own and is subject to the terms of TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and any other platform it posts on. Nothing here grants you rights in those accounts.
Changes
Updated terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
